The Real Deal with Waist Training April 20, 2016

Thousands of people are using a waist trainer to help them lose weight and achieve that perfect body. However, while thousands are looking at waist trainer corsets, there are still many who are a little unsure of these and are unconvinced with their powers also. So, what is the real deal with waist training and it is safe to use?

Potential Trainer Risks

A waist trainer is the latest fad to hit the market but it could actually be a dangerous one at best. The whole aim of a corset is to squeeze the body’s exterior in order to create the hourglass shape but in reality it also squeezes the internal body. However, the internal organs can be squeezed along with the rest of the body which puts them under enormous pressure and effectively cause health complications. For instance, someone who uses the corset can find they are in a lot of pain and for long-term use, chronic pain can occur. There is also the possibility of restricting the blood flow to the heart and other organs which is life-threatening; the lungs cannot expand which potentially causes pneumonia. There are a number of serious health risks so the trainers aren’t always a positive thing.

Waist Training Corset Is Not a Long-Term Solution

While it would be absolutely fantastic to use a waist trainer and lose inches, it isn’t always as simple or as straightforward as it sounds. This so-called ‘ideal’ weight loss solution could be potentially very harmful to the body. Wearing a corset for an important event for a few hours or even a day is OK but long-term, it’s a big no! The damage that can be done from a waist trainer could be severe and serious to your entire body. More details in our post here.

There Is No Such Thing as a Perfect Body

What makes perfection? What makes a body perfect? Is it down to being a size zero? No, that is quite unhealthy; so what makes a person’s body perfect? Well, in all honesty, there isn’t a perfect body out there. Yes, people might think they have the perfect body or that someone else has but in reality there isn’t one. However, you can have a healthy body which is the most important thing to aim for today. Waist training corset is extremely tough on the body and sometimes it does more harm than good. There was a reason why corsets were out of style after the 18th century and they may not be right for you today to lose weight.

Be Careful

When it comes to using waist trainers there will be many who believe they are safe enough to use and that is their choice. However, you need to be fully aware of the risks associated with them. Yes, they may be able to help you lose a few inches but for how long and are they really what you want to use? Waist training is hard at the best of times because your body isn’t used to it and it won’t like the idea either. If you do plan to use a waist trainer, ensure you know the risks beforehand.
